The following communication was received from Wokingham Borough Council, Countryside Services on 18th March 2008 - "our decision is that we will consider requests from 'individuals' wishing to place geocaches at Dinton or any other of our sites, and will accept up to 3 at any one time depending on the site. This will enable us to monitor the geocaching and either be in a position to allow for more or reduce the number we have depending on how we feel it is working out." This covers the following Parks:
Dinton Pastures Country Park
California Country Park
Highwood
Keephatch
Aldermoors
Pearmains Copse
Heathlake
The Moors Warren Wood
The Millenium Arboretum
Lavells Lake Nature Reserve
Charvil Meadows
Click HERE for an overlay in that opens Google maps and shows Dinton Pastures and California Country Parks, The Moors, Warren Wood and Keephatch local nature reserves to help you identify them. The other reserves appear on the MAGIC map. You can use the MAGIC map yourself by putting coordinates into this link called MagicMapIt!. Click HERE for more information on using the Magic map
If you wish to place caches on Wokingham Borough Council parks, please contact the Countryside Services for permission so that they can monitor the placement of caches as per their communication. Although not explicitly stated, it goes without saying that standard GAGB guidelines for cache placement should be followed.
