β GAGB Featured Geocache Series - Doon Hill Fairy Trail β
The Doon Hill Fairy Trail in Northern Scotland is a short circular walk with some excellent caches. The trail climbs Doon Hill, said to be home of the fairies, passing through some woodland with fairy doors carved into the trees. In the seventeenth century, the Reverend Robert Kirk was so fascinated by the site that he wrote a book, The Secret Commonweath, describing the habits of the fairies. A truly magical walk and series, which is great for children and the whole family.
