The first GAGB roving event was a great success! It was well attended with about 75 cachers attending and the North Wales Mega team joined us for a lovely sunny day by the lake. It was on Saturday 4th June, 12-4pm at Dearnford Lake, Whitchurch, Shropshire (GC6FW7V).
This is the first of a series of regular, roving GAGB events. The aim of these events is for cachers old and new to meet the committee, ask any questions and enjoy the surrounding area of the event.
It definitely raised a positive profile for the GAGB. A lot of families and some new cachers came and two couples visiting Dearnford Lake visited our event shelter who want to know about geocaching and seemed extremely interested.
In the afternoon we organised a group boating visit to the island which was great fun. A great day was had by all. Thank you to everyone that attended, hope to see you at our next roving event.
