Featured Series - Welsh Solar System

This month’s Featured Series is the Welsh Solar System Series - GC3PA4Q. This was designed with the Cambrian Mountain Ridge as a guideline, offering geocachers a scenic route with interesting and suitable cache locations. The series begins at its northern end near the Star Inn in the historic village of Dylife, a fitting choice as "Sol" represents the Sun, our nearest star. Spanning approximately 40 miles from north to south through the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales, the series follows a scale of 1 mile to 1 astronomical unit (93 million miles). Cache sizes have been carefully selected to reflect the relative sizes of the planets and other celestial bodies. A Completion Certificate is available for those who finish the series—geocachers are encouraged to reach out upon completion.
