  BIG NEWS!🚨We're thrilled to announce that the GAGB Geocaching Awards are BACK for another year to recognise and celebrate outstanding geocaches and geocachers.   GAGB SWAG and CITO 2025

  The dates for 2025’s SWAG Weekend have been confirmed as 18th April to 21st April inclusive (Easter weekend). We are also pleased to announce that we will have two CITO Weeks this year – one in the spring, Saturday 24th May to Friday 30th May, and another in the autumn, Saturday 25th October to Friday 31st October. Profile badges will be awarded to SWAG participants and CITO Week attendees and hosts.

  Meet Seeker the Squirrel

  We are thrilled to introduce you to our mascot, Seeker the Squirrel!
  He is agile, inquisitive, and attuned to the environment. A forager, explorer, and lover of geocaching.

  Photo Competition 2024

  We are running a photo competition to find the best view from a cache in UK to replace our header image!
  All GAGB members are encouraged to submit a worthy snap showcasing a fantastic view from a UK cache. You can submit up to 5 photos between June 21st 2024 and September 21st 2024. 
  The winning photo will be used as the header image on our website, social media channels and emails, and there is a prize (either a GAGB geocoin or £15 GAGB Store Credit). Second and third places will also receive a prize.
  So, browse your libraries or take a new photo for the chance to win.
  Submit your photos by emailing them as an attachment to photos@gagb.org.uk.

  Asian hornet awareness

  Numbers of yellow-legged Asian hornets have been growing steadily here over recent years. Geocachers searching for hidden items could be placed in direct contact with Asian hornets, and if they disturb a nest it could lead to a very serious situation. Geocachers are perfectly placed to be the eyes on the ground on this issue, and we can really help in keeping a watch for these invasive insects, so we’re asking everyone to download the Asian Hornet Watch app and log any suspected sightings, so that nearby nests can then be traced and disposed of by official authorities.
